* The Leap-Start program is run by and paid for by the UH ITS department, but the participating employers are primarily outside of the UH system.

* There are 15+ employers (and growing) participating in the Leap-Start program and include many of the most widely-respected companies in the State.

* These are paid positions ($19/hr+) with flexible hours during the semester and possibility to work full time in the summers.

* In the short history of Leap-Start, many students have transitioned from the program to full time jobs with the sponsoring employer or leveraged their experience to other full-time jobs.

* Interested in a possible career in cyber security? There are positions open and waiting for great applicants like you.

* Or are you interested in using your combined business and IT background in a position that focuses on understanding and improving business processes? Leap-Start has those opportunities too.

* For juniors and below, great opportunities are open right now to start getting some IT help desk experience at UH and then transition quickly to a healthcare IT role in one of several healthcare organizations.
